January 21 , 1998 - The Long Awaited Resident Evil 2 Came out in the U.S.
On Jan. 14 , 2003 - RE2 came out for the GameCube with nothing really dont to it and is basically a port of the 1998 version for Playstation. The Game stars Claire Redfield & Leon. At the Start of the Game you can Choose who you wish to play with. For the most part, the game is the same with both of them , but they do however get to go into different places that only that cetain character will go. The Original Playstation Resident Evil 2 version from 1998 also made a record when it debuted by selling more then 3 million copies worldwide in only 6 weeks of release.

RESIDENT EVIL 2 STORY

The Resident Evil 2 story begins about a month and a half after the disaster at the mansion lab. where Umbrella Corp. developed the T-virus, a muta-genic toxin for the use in biological weapons. But , After breaking loose, living things began to mutate into all sorts of decaying creatures. The case was eventually closed, but Umbrella's experiments were far from over. Now it's the worst possible nightmare: a new virus runs rampant. All of Raccoon City is infested. Blood-thirsty zombies, hideous mutations now overwhelm the community. When Leon and Claire arrive in town their nightmare is just beginning.... You must get out Alive!
